Development and Oversight
Mr. Scott has been a continuously licensed Texas Architect since 1976. Before joining BLGY, Mr. Scott was Principal and CFO for a 40+ year old Austin-based architecture firm. He has also been an owner of a mechanical and electrical engineering firm as well as a real estate development company.
He has decades of experience in project management and construction management. He is uniquely qualified to provide senior level support and insight to the BLGY technical staff in achieving successful project management outcomes.
His proven ability in assembling and leading successful project teams, including business-to-business associations and joint-ventures is a significant component of his role as BLGY’s Director of Development and Oversight. He is familiar with locating and developing strategic opportunities with joint venture partners as well as with clients.
He has an extensive background in all project delivery methods, including design-build, construction management at-risk and competitive sealed proposal. He was a key participant in preparing the enabling legislation for the use of these delivery methods by public clients, including K-12 and institutions of higher education.
He is presently a Board Member of the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation as well as a Member of the American Institute of Architecture (AIA).
