Being the first elementary school designed using a charrette process, the design responded to the district’s vision of providing a safe environment for innovation, exploration and creativity, while being responsive to change in the real world. Spatially this vision translated into open commons spaces at the core of classroom neighborhoods, providing flexible and interactive learning environments.
